Rover Team 2 2021-22

Rover Team 2 is comprised of a group of Engineering Technology students at Pittsburg State University who are working together on a senior design project.

The team is designing and manufacturing a human-powered rover that meets NASA requirements. The team will design, build, and test technologies that enable the rover to perform in a wide variety of environments. The challenge will mimic the opportunities, challenges, and decision making that our future planetary explorers will face in interplanetary space. The planned course for the competition will require two students, one female, and one male, to traverse a terrain of 0.50 miles that includes a simulated field of asteroid debris, stream bed, erosion ruts, and crevasses of various sizes. The rover will compete in the 2021/2022 NASA Rover Challenge.

Your financial gift will be used to cover costs associated with materials to construct the rover and traveling expenses to the competition. The team is seeking to raise $4,000 to cover all expenses.
