Pittsburg State University's Plastics Engineering Technology Product Development Senior Project Team aims to design and create a Flowerpot product. The Flowerpot will be molded of recycled materials, using the injection molding machine in the PSU Plastics Lab. The primary goal is to develop a new injection mold that will serve as a training tool for future students, providing hands-on experience with mold design and plastics processing. The Flowerpots will be used for lab tours and be given to visitors to showcase the capabilities of the program.Additionally, by utilizing recycled materials, the project emphasizes sustainability in manufacturing while offering students an opportunity to explore material properties and processing challenges. This initiative will not only serve as an educational tool but also contribute to the growth and outreach of the Plastics program at PSU.We thank you for your consideration of a gift towards making our education experience a success! To learn more about Plastics Engineering Technology at Pittsburg State University, visit here.
