Working out of PSU's Biology Department since 1985, Nature Reach has a commitment to providing natural history and environmental education outreach programming to school and community groups. PSU Nature Reach is the only entity in the region that goes directly into classrooms with live animals, offers summer programming to local youth, and we help teachers become better educators. Additionally, we provide valuable, real-world training to PSU students who want to go into careers including veterinary medicine, wildlife management, environmental education, and more.

Nature Reach also partners across PSU's campus for unique experiences. We help other academic departments and student organizations offer unique experiences for students in unexpected ways. Art students enjoy opportunities to draw live animals, psychology students learn about captive animal behavior, and computer science students have practiced designing an app used for animal care.

With your support, we are seeking funds to purchase new animal enclosures for our animals, along with additional bedding supplies, enrichment, lighting, and heat sources.
