Engineering Technology students are working with Geeks for Kids to design and manufacture a new seat for the electric toy cars they build for children with mobility challenges. Their goal is to create a seat which provides better head support, can be used inside and outside, and encourages children to do new activities and move their bodies.
Geeks for Kids strives to change the way kids with mobility challenges experience their world. They give them a chance to move about and explore freely - not experience life as a passive observer from strollers and wheelchairs. Your financial gift will be used to cover costs associated with materials for construction of the apparatus that can help these kids excel. The goal is to raise $1,650 for the parts, materials, and trips to Kansas City which is needed for the project.
None of this would be possible without the financial support of alumni and friends of PSU. We ask you to consider a financial gift to the Engineering Technology - Geeks for Kids Project.
