The Big Event is an annual community service project facilitated by Pittsburg State's Student Government Association. This year, we are excited and honored to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Big Event. Over the last 20 years, the Big Event has become a staple of Pittsburg, a beloved tradition for students and community members alike. The Big Event provides service to more than 50 homes with over 300 volunteers.
The project serves the local community through the cleaning and maintenance of community properties each year. As the event continues to grow, the impact on the community grows as well. This growth stems from the generous donations from all members of the Pittsburg area.
